Monivea/Abbey GAA are pleased to launch a new fundraiser to finance works ongoing at the Grounds. It takes the form of 212 decorative black granite plaques surrounding our crest as a beautiful 3D centrepiece.

Over the recent years the Club has invest significantly in the grounds with:

  2. Walkway
  3. Gym
  4. Meeting Room
  5. New pitch mower & fertilizer spreader
  6. New gear & jersey designs launched (2024)
  7. Invested into pitch maintenance and repair
  8. New goals & equipment for younger players
  9. Cleaning, replacing benches and painting the main stand
  10. New Electronic Scoreboard kindly sponsored by O'Donohoe's, Abbeyknockmoy
  11. 3 Phase Electrical Supply (coming 2024)
  12. Purchase of new piece of land to enable us to have 2 full sized playing pitches
  1. Ground works, boundary wall and fencing on the new land
  2. Laying the new pitch surface
  3. Drainage, and full pitch upgrade on our training pitch
  4. Drainage and investment into our main pitch
  5. Complete the lighting requirements
  6. Moving goals and ball stop nets
  7. Drainage & Astro in front of the main stand
  8. Solar panels
  9. Ongoing pitch maintenance plan to keep our playing surfaces in great condition.

 

 

Why do we do this? The answer is simple, we do this for our players! We have a fantastic membership base, and we work hard to give them every chance of success while offering our parents and supports a top class facility to enjoy watching our players.

Each plaque costs €275 and can be paid in full or instalments, online or direct to any club officer
